The 3U dual-socket NS-32301r is an I/O optimized, petabyte scalable NAS storage appliance powered by the 32nm Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 series processors and has been highly optimized for Microsoft® Windows® Storage Server 2012 and NexentaStor (ZFS). Featuring up to 16 processor cores per 3U, along with up to 512GB of high-speed 1600Mhz DDR3, up to six PCIe Gen3 expansion slots, multiple I/O expansion modules for FCoE/10GbE/QDR/FDR IB interconnect, and on-board SAS options driving 16x 3.5” + 2x 2.5” drives (66TB maximum storage capacity), the NS-32301r has been designed for a variety of applications, including disk-based backup and restore, storage consolidation and disaster recovery.
