ACMA Introduces Six-Core Quad Xeon Processor Servers
Energy efficient rack-optimized servers deliver outstanding performance-per-watt
Fremont, CA - September 15, 2008 – ACMA (www.acma.com), a leading provider of custom servers and storage solutions in North America, introduced the new Helios series of six-core, quad Intel® Xeon® processor-based servers. These servers are based on the Intel® CoreT Micro-architecture, the updated Intel® 7300 chipset, and they fully utilize the new six-core Intel Xeon® processor 7400 series (Dunnington), with up to 16M L3 Cache on the processor.
The new Helios series six-core quad Intel® Xeon® processor servers deliver exceptional value and scalable enterprise performance to customers looking for enhanced virtualization and server consolidation capabilities. They provide compelling solutions for the dense rack segment, especially when equipped with Intel's new mainstream 80-watt or low voltage 50-watt six-core Intel® Xeon® processor 7400 series. These servers feature a larger memory footprint, improved energy efficiency, expansive memory and storage capacity, and proven dependability. They deliver industry leading performance and provide enterprise-level reliability to data centers and IT infrastructures. They deliver up to 167% performance improvement compared with the previous generation of Intel processors.
"Our new six-core quad-processor servers provide more virtual machine headroom with additional processing cores and double the memory capacity from previous generation of servers," said Kimon Tzaratzouris, ACMA Sales Manager. "They deliver record new levels of industry performance and energy efficiency and enable energy efficient ultra-dense deployments with greater productivity. The unprecedented performance and energy efficiency help our customers to significantly lower their total cost of ownership and dramatically lower energy consumption."
ACMA's Helios series six-core quad-processor servers are available in 1U, 2U, and 4U form factor SKUs. With performance optimized 130-watt, rack and blade optimized 80-watt, and high-density rack and blade optimized 50-watt SKUs, customers now have more choices than ever to select the server that is best suited for their applications.
