ACMA Announces New Generation of Energy Efficient 45nm Quad-Core
Intel® Xeon® Server Solutions
Based on 45nm Quad-Core Intel® Xeon® Processor 5400
With New Levels of Performance, Efficiency and Reliability
Fremont, California – November 12, 2007 – ACMA delivers a new line of 45nm quad-core Intel Xeon server solutions. They are based on Intel® XeonTM 5400 Sequence (Harpertown) processor, integrated with 12MB (2x4MB) share L2 cache on the processor, while consuming only 80 watt of power on the mainstream quad-core processors. These new servers provide breakthrough quad-core performance for general-purpose servers, and they offer the most virtualization headroom in a 2-way platform.
These next-generation 64-bit quad-core Intel® XeonTM servers support 1600 and 1333MHz FSB, utilizing the latest quad channel Fully Buffered DDR2 DIMM Memory (FBDIMM) technology, 4-issue Intel® Core™ micro-architecture technology, simultaneous multi-threading, multi-level shared cache architecture, performance-enhanced dynamic power management. In addition, these new server solutions support Intel’s new generation of lower power 50 watt 64-bit quad-Core 5400 series processors, delivering dynamic scalability for efficient performance on demand, better value and greater system stability to customers.
By consuming up to 50% lower processor power, theses servers also fully unlocks Intel’s 45nm Hi-K silicon process benefits, providing greatly improved performance than previous generations of Xeon servers, at no price premium. Moreover, they also provide for a more secure computing environment by utilizing Advanced Memory RAS (reliability, availability, serviceability). These new servers provide the best-in-class 2-way x86 performance for financial services, general business server applications, consolidation and virtualization in IT infrastructures, high performance computing, and they are also ideal for data center refresh and standardization.
“In past years, our clients requiring systems capable of low voltage and multi-core computing have had limited selections,” says Kimon Tzaratzouris, ACMA Sales Manager. “These new low voltage dual core Xeon server solutions provide customers with the flexibility of achieving the maximum computing power, with improved server responsiveness and exceptional energy efficient performance, resulting in significant lower TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) and optimal virtual computing environment. High-quality, scalable enterprise performance, and high availability are key features clients look for in a server solutions manufacturer.”
