Storage Solutions to the NAS Market

Fremont, California – February 24, 2006 – ACMA and Thecus Technology Corporation, a leading maker of IP storage solutions, joined forces to develop the Networked Attached Storage (NAS) storage market in the U.S. Now custom-system builders have a new cost-effective and high performance alternative to choose from when they build NAS storage systems.

Thecus’ stand-alone NAS servers are fully featured, fast, affordable, and easy-to-use. They are ideal for the network storage needs of small and medium enterprises, as well as for use in the digital home, education, government, healthcare, and professional services. They also enhance data security with RAID functions such as online disk hot swapping, disk roaming, hot spare, and auto-rebuild to ensure data integrity. Plug and play installation and setup is quick and easy using web browser based administration and management. Cross platform file sharing enhances centralized data management and users of PC, Unix/Linux, and Macintosh platforms all have read and write access to the same files.

Thecus’ SATA NAS servers include the N4100 4-bay, and N2100 and N2050 2-bay servers. The N4100 accommodate four SATA hard disks for over two terabyte of data capacity. It is designed especially for multimedia and business critical content. The N2100 and N2050 are ideal for home networks, offering two SATA drive bays for over one terabyte of storage capacity.
